Ernest Csakany

Ernest F. Csakany age 80, of Fairview, and formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Manhattan, NY on October 10, 1941 a son of the late Ernest Sr. and Mildred Sabo Csakany.

After High School, Ernest worked at Stimpson Metal Good Co. as a supervisor for 45 years.

Ernest was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, bowling and especially loved spending time with his family.

He was always a big hearted man, there to help anyone and everyone in need without fanfare and accolades. He loved with all of his heart and will be missed greatly by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Maggie and Susan and a brother, Jerry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, JoAnn Csakany; three daughters, Lisa (Michael), Margery (Donna) and Suzanne (Frank); a son, Matthew (Brenda); 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren who brought great joy to his life; two sisters, Nancy (Tom), Vicki and a brother Tom (Lynn) and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Services were held private at the convenience of the family by the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, 3801 W. 26^th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
