Erma Keith

Erma Dunmire Keith, 89, of Erie, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Saturday, December 28, 2013. She was born in Punxsutawney, PA. She was the daughter of Harry and Cecil Dunmire of Punxsutawney. Erma was preceded in death by her husband William Pierce and infant daughter Joy.

She is survived by ten children, Sandy Mennetti (Rich), Barbara Pierce, Harry Pierce, William Pierce, Ronald Pierce, Carolyn Lauderbaugh (Randy), Vickie Setree (Dave), Cindy Ellinger, Robert Pierce and Debbie Tincher. She had 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Erma was active in the church most of her life. She attended the Triumphant Life Church. She loved music and taught herself how to play the piano. She loved to worship. Erma decided to return to school and received her GED at the age of 81.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10th Street, today Monday Dec. 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service there at 11 a.m. with Pastor Greg Buzzanco officiating.

Burial will be in the Pine Cemetery Association in Punxsutawney, PA on Thursday January 2nd.
