Erika Pirschel

Erika Pirschel, age 96, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at ForestView Health Care Center.

She was born in Bensheim, West Germany on May 19, 1925, a daughter of the late Phillip and Barbara Grosch Dingeldein.

Erika was a member of Luther Memorial Church. She did volunteer work for the former Bethany Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed sewing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Erich G. Pirschel, a brother, Karl Dingeldein and sisters, Elise Becker and Hanna Gorski.

She is survived by a son, Michael P. Pirschel and his wife, Diane of Erie. She is also survived by grandsons, Erich M. Pirschel, wife Heather of Lockport, NY and Christopher M. Pirschel, wife Rachel, of Bridgeville, PA and great grandchildren, Ian, Waverly, Hunter and Logan.  Her brother-in-law Eugene Gorski and several nieces and nephews further survive.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510 on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service there at 3 p.m. with Reverend William Coleman officiating. The service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/BurtonQuinnScott. 

Interment will be private in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
