Enrique “Hank” Thillet, age 72, left his earthly body on Monday, March 27, 2017. He was born October 20, 1944 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Hank was the fourth child of the late Eleuterio and Iris Rodriguez Thillet. He was the loving husband of Cozette Jordan Thillet for the last thirty-nine years. Hank attended the William Ettinger School in New York City. After coming to Erie, Pennsylvania in 1973, he attended Erie O.I.C. Hank was employed at General Electric for thirty-two years until his retirement.
As Paul stated in 2nd Timothy 4:7, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
He was a devoted father and grandfather. Hank truly loved being part of their lives. He had a great sense of humor and could strike up a conversation with anyone, within minutes he would come away with their whole life story. He loved to read and play chess. Hank loved to encourage people about being healthy by telling them about natural vitamins and herbs.
In Heaven, Hank joins his parents, Eleuterio Thillet and Iris Thillet; his brother, Felix Thillet; his daughter Suzette Thillet; and his grandson Brandon Medina.
He leaves to cherish, a loving wife, Cozette Jordan Thillet; six daughters, Felicita (Allen) Wheeler of Poughtkeepsie, New York, Kim Medina, Adeline (Travis) Russell of Wappingers, New York, Alba Thillet, Talisha Thillet and Tammie Lentz of Erie Pennsylvania; two sons, Hank “Tony T.” Thillet of East Windsor, New Jersey and Eleuterio Thillet of New York City; he is further survived by twenty-one Grandchildren and eleven Great-grandchildren; Three brothers; Eleuterio Thillet of Ponce, Puerto Rico; Bernaldo (Anna)Thillet of Holtville, NY; William (Sharon) Thillet,of Navarre, Fl.; One sister Alba Thillet of Centreville, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510, on Friday, March 31st from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are invited to a service on Saturday, April 1st at 12 p.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church, 327 E 23rd St, Erie, PA 16503. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society/Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
