Emily Dorsey

Emily Gillies Dorsey age 41, of Erie, had her soul sent onto the next journey after life here with us on earth on December 10, 2018.

She was born on March 27, 1977 a daughter of Chuck and Janet Work Gillies.

Emily touched a lot of peoples hearts and had open arms to everyone. She gave great advice with words of wisdom. She wanted the best for everyone and she had a beautiful heat and soul.

Emily is now starting her next journey full of new beginnings and everlasting happiness. She is now one of God’s angels watching over us and protecting us from any harm. Emily will always be here in spirit with us in times of need and during times of happiness. Emily loved her three boys more than anything in the world. She was an amazing mother and she will forever be missed and loved.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her infant son, Braxton.

In addition to her parents, Chuck and Janet Gillies, she is survived by her three children, Isaiah, Dezmin and Reece Dorsey; her beloved brothers, Joshua (Darlene) Gillies and Nathan (Eryn) Gillies; husband, Melvin Dorsey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, especially Loraina and Amy and her niece Phaedra.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510 on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses and would be greatly appreciated.
