Eloise Schaper

Eloise Roesch Schaper age 87 of Clymer, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 31, 2017.

She was born in Harborcreek, PA on September 12, 1929 a daughter of the late Raleigh J. and Mary Klins Roesch.  She was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School in 1947. Eloise enjoyed being a devoted wife and mother and spent many happy hours involved in Luther Memorial Church as a choir member and Sunday school teacher and in her garden.

In addition to her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her husband Peter Gustav Schaper Jr. along with her daughter Cindy Schaper. She was also preceded in death by six siblings; Harold, John (Jack), James (Jim) and Robert (Bob) Roesch along with Lucille Ewing and Mary Margaret Moore. Eloise is survived by three daughters; Bonnie Crisman (James) of Pleasantville, PA, Mary Laver (John) of Erie, PA and Melody Schaper (Neil Sicherman) of Phoenixville, PA. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Friends may call on Friday from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m. at Luther Memorial Church Parlor, 225 W. 10^th St., Erie, PA 16501 and are invited to a funeral service there at 2 p.m. with Reverend William Coleman officiating.

Private burial at Erie Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Luther Memorial Church. Arrangements are under the care of Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West 10^th Street, Erie, PA 16502.
