Elizabeth Olinger

Elizabeth Anne Olinger age 64, of Fairview, passed away unexpectedly and too soon on Friday, November 23, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital after complications from a massive heart attack with her family at her side.

She was born in Erie on May 13, 1954, a daughter of the late James A. and Teresa Taylor Heaton.

Liz graduated from Northwestern High School in 1972. She had worked at Erie Ceramic Arts for most of her life and most recently retired from the Walmart Vision Center.

She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and fishing. Elizabeth loved to laugh and spend time with her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Crowl and two brothers in law, John Oakley and Bill Crowl.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 26 years, Robert Olinger; four children, Jamie Maiola and her husband Mark of Pittsburgh, PA, Jeffrey Olinger and his wife Mystic of Corry, Dawn Olinger of Erie and Vicki McMillen and her husband Jim of Springfield, PA; two sisters, Wendy Oakley and Sally Dobson and her husband Doug all of Albion, PA; a brother, Glenn Heaton and his wife Jody of West Virginia; 7 grandchildren, Brooke, Cody, Zachary, Zoey, Mia, Myla and Jasmin, and two great grandchildren, Dominic and Elaina. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins,  nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home 525 Main Street East Girard on Monday from 2 p.m to 4 p.m and 6 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. Private burial in Girard Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
