Elizabeth Karcher

     Elizabeth Bennett Karcher, age 72, of Erie, Pa. and formerly of Binghamton, New York, died on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at Pleasant Ridge Manor West, Erie.  She was born on April 27, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of the late Dr. Scott L. and Beatrice F. Cedarholm Bennett.  A 1963 graduate of Hancock Central High School, Hancock, New York, she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from Delhi Tech, Delhi, New York, and worked as an LPN at Read Memorial Hospital, Hancock, New York and at Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, New York.  Elizabeth played classical piano; enjoyed painting in oils, gardening and reading; and loved her cats.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Dennis Dale.
     Survivors include her mother, Ann J. Bennett of Penfield, NY; two sisters, Jennifer Bennett of Erie and Linda C. Homer and husband Tom and children Kate and Stephen of Fairport, New York; three brothers, Scott L. Bennett, Jr. and companion Valentina Bondarenko and daughter Beatrice of New York, New York, David W. Bennett and son Michael of Jordanville, New York, and David C. Cedarholm and wife Maria del Mar Palacios of Boston, MA; her very good friend Arlene of Binghamton, New York; and a close family friend Eloise of Charlotte, North Carolina.  
     A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Binghamton, New York, at a later date to be announced.
     Burial will be at Spring Forest Cemetery, Binghamton, NY.
