Elizabeth Ann Belsan age 93, died Monday, May 21, 2018 at Sarah Reed Retirement Center.
She was born in Cleveland, OH on August 22nd, 1924, a daughter of the late Carl A. Neff and Mary Louise (Hubbard) Neff.
She was a 1942 graduate of Lakewood High School and a 1947 graduate of Heidelberg College in Tiffin, OH. She was employed as a secretary for the Mahoning County Medical Society for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Pilgrim Collegiate United Church of Christ in Youngstown, OH, where her husband was a minister from 1958-1990. She later attended Mt. Olivet UCC in North Lima, OH.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling and reading.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Richard C. Belsan, who passed in 1993. They were married in 1948. She is also preceded by her step-mother, Maude I. Neff.
She is survived by a daughter, Diana Belsan, husband Daniel Hardy of Lubbock, TX; a son, Todd Belsan, wife Sandra, of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Claudia Woodard of Erie; grandchildren, Eric Woodard, Anne Barton, husband Paul, Richard Belsan, Amelia Hardy, Kenneth Hardy; one sister, Margaret Johnson, of Columbus, OH; along with nieces and a nephew.
No calling hours will be observed. A graveside service will be held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 5400 Market St., Youngstown, OH, at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street.
