Eleanor R. Santia, age 85, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Fairview Manor.
She was born on March 14, 1928 in Erie, PA daughter of the later John and Sarah Kepp Leonbacher.
Eleanor attended East High School.
She retired from Gannon University after 20 years of being involved in housekeeping especially in the Schuster Theater where she enjoyed the great rapport she had with the students and faculty.
Eleanor enjoyed singing the Lord’s Prayer at many of her nieces and nephews weddings.
She was preceded in death by four sisters Sarah Finn, Hilda Washek, Minnie Buehler and Helen Mazza, two brothers Hansie Fronius and John A. Leonbacher. Also a nephew Robert Washek.
Survivors include her loving nieces, Carole Rickrode, Marlene Fedorko, and Sandy Washek and a nephew Tom Mazza. She is further survived by many great, great great, and great great great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with Deacon Steve Washek officiating.
Burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
