Eleanor M. Getty

Eleanor M. (Berarducci) Getty, age 95, of Erie passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Nightingale Nursing and Rehab Center with her family at her side. She was born December 25, 1927 in Erie the daughter of the late Sylvestro and Celestine (Savocchio) Berarducci.

Eleanor was a graduate of Academy High School and had worked at Bell Telephone Co, the W.T. Grant company, and retired from the Metro Health Center as a switchboard operator. She was an avid bowler and a member of St. Paul RC Church.

Besides her parents. She was preceded in death by her mother, Victoria Berarducci; her husband, Arthur Getty, and her siblings; Frank Berarducci, Mary Gatti, Elizabeth Ferretti, John Berarducci, Anthony Berarducci, and Columba Berarducci.

Eleanor is survived by two daughters, Victoria Thomas and her husband Dennis and Janet Ventrello and her husband Gerald, all of Erie. She is the grandmother of Deana Wagoner and her husband Jason, and is the sister of Edmonda Berarducci. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at St. Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut St. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at which time a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul RC Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
