Elaine Nelsen

Elaine E. Nelsen age 78, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at her residence.

She was born in Erie on February 14, 1939 a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Dusicko Fischer.

Elaine was a 1956 graduate of Academy High School and then went on to work as a nurse LPN at St. Vincent for over 25 years.

She enjoyed reading and going to casinos with her husband. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harvey Nelsen; three children, Kimberly Ann Quirk and her husband Dan of Erie, Karen Ann Hrinko and her husband Brian, and Kathryne Musich and her husband Tod all of Girard; a brother, Robert Fischer of Erie; five grandchildren: Scott, Matthew, Trista, Ryan, and Karlie; two great grandchildren: William and Ava; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W 26^th Street, (at Powell Ave) Erie, PA 16506 on Thursday from 11:00 until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Harry Johns III officiating.  Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
