Elaine Mcguire

Elaine Diane McGuire, age 94, of Millcreek, went into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at her home where she lived with her daughter Sharon. She passed peacefully with her family gathered around her.

Elaine was a tap dancer at Wilson school and danced in many talent shows. She was an artist and very talented with her ceramics. She loved animals, flowers, gardening, puzzles, painting, dancing and enjoyed music. But most of all she enjoyed being with her family and they are the legacy she leaves behind. She was best friends with Wanda Hull for over 50 years and enjoyed being with her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Sabolsky and Melody Ruggiero and husband Philip of Millcreek and six grandchildren, Alex Sabolsky of Millcreek, Scott Sabolsky (Sue) of Millerburg, PA, Christian Sabolsky (Marcie) of Halifax, PA, Kimberly St. Felix (Harry) of Virginia Beach, VA, Robin Zickafoose (Howard) of Girard, OH and Aaron Ruggiero (Crystal Copper) of Kekaha, HI. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren Nicole, Jacob, Bailey, Shea, Collin, Kiersten, Michael and Kristi and two great-great-grandchildren Ezekiel and Emerson.

No visitation hours were observed and services were private for the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family in care of the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, The ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th St, Erie, PA 16511 or the Humane Society, 2407 Zimmerly Rd, Erie, PA 16506. Elaine was a supporter of homeless animals.
