Edward J. Parry

Edward J. Parry, age 84, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at UPMC Hamot, with his loving family by his side.

He was born December 24, 1939 in Youngstown, OH, a son to the late Thomas and Helen Clair Parry.

Ed attended Rayen and McDowell High Schools. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame Sports and enjoyed visiting there with his Notre Dame boys. He loved coaching all kinds of sports, but his greatest joy was being a Dappy to his many grandchildren. He loved his children, adored his grandchildren, and was obsessed with his great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a son, Daniel J. Parry; and two brothers, Thomas and Robert Parry.

Ed will be remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 61 years, Sharyn K. Seib Parry; two sons, Michael (Elizabeth) Parry, and Patrick (Shannon) Parry; two daughters, Kerriann (Michael) Weese, and Mary Kate Parry; a brother, Bill (Jean) Parry; grandchildren, Corey (Deven), Sean (Britt), Nicholas, AJ (Tori), Matthew (Karlee), Luke, Shannon, Nolan, Emma, Rachel (Nick), Kassee (Chad), Alexandra, Cameron, and Jamison; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Josiah, Daniel, Mayla, Baylee, Clayton, and Warner. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call at the Burton Quinn-Scott Funeral Home, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26^th (at Powell Ave.), on Monday, June 3^rd from 3 pm until 7 pm and are invited to a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace, 2401 W. 38^th St, Erie on Tuesday, June 4^th at 10:30 AM. Private burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
