Edward Franklin McWilliams, age 75 of Erie, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at St. Mary’s Home East.
He was born in Ellisville, MS on February 15, 1939, the son of Namon and Ida Jones McWilliams.
He was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School. He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Charles E. Smith Maintenance, Alexandria, VA.
Edward enjoyed reading, politics, and sports, especially the Washington Redskins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Frank Arthur McWilliams.
He is survived by one daughter, Edwina Davis, Goldsboro, North Carolina; brothers and sisters: Namon McWilliams (Brenda) of Erie, Catherine Collins of Ellisville, Miss., Elouise House (Claudie) of Erie, Gloria Jean McWilliams of Ellisville, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 602 West 10th Street Erie, Pa. 16502 on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon with Reverend Anthony Harris officiating. There will be a two hour visitation and service in Ellisville, Miss. at the Springhill Baptist Church, 1403 Dobose St. Ellisville, MS. 39437 on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 10:00 am till the service at noon with Pastor Bridgett officiating.
Burial will be in Ellisville Cemetery.
