Edward Johnson, Sr.

Edward E. Johnson, Sr., age 87, of Erie, ascended into Heaven on Jan. 6, 2021.

He was born April 10, 1933 in Meadville Pa.

He was preceded in death by a son, James A. Johnson who was murdered in 1987.

Edward was survived by his wife of 62 years Gail (VanDerGriend) Johnson and six children, Bonnie, Edward Jr., Jessie, Debbie, Dorothy Coleman (Alfonza), Ruth Ann.

In addition, he is survived by 16 Grandchildren, and 36 Great grandchildren.

Edward battled Parkinson’s and Dementia for several years.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service there at 1 p.m. with Reverend Christopher Weichman of First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant officiating. The service will be livestreamed on our facebook page, at  https://facebook.com/BurtonQuinnScott.  All CDC guidelines including wearing masks, social distancing and capacity limits will be followed. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
