Edward Ecke

Edward Ecke, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on December 8, 1936 in Erie, a son to the late Robert & Helen Bates Ecke.

Edward graduated from Strong Vincent High School and after graduating served in the US Army.  He worked as a Diesel Mechanic at Jones Motor and for many years at Hardinger Transfer.  He enjoyed going to Presque Isle State Park, duck hunting and fishing.  Edward was a member of the American Legion Post 773 and was a serious Motor Head and loved working in his garage and could fix anything.

Edward is survived by his wife of 58 years Arlene “Patty” Ecke; two sons Ronald D. Ecke (Bahta); Ernest “Ernie” M. Ecke (Denise); a daughter Amy Ecke (Tim Murray); four grandchildren Edward, Sarah, Katelyn and Scott; and four great grandchildren all of Erie.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post 773, 4109 W. 12th St, Erie, PA 16505 on June 23, 2022 at 12:00 noon.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Burton Quinn Scott Funeral Home West Ridge, 3801 W. 26^th Street, Erie.
