Edward V. Bolt, age 81, passed away Dec. 9th, 2021. His battle with various medical issues over the past several years showed his courage and fight.
Ed was born January 7, 1940 in New Kingsinton PA, the son of the late Victor and Helen Bolt.
After graduating from Virginia Military School, he began his career in Manufacturing Management. He was President of Perry Plastics, VP of PHB Die Casting and finished his career as Sales Manager for Industrial Sales and Mfg., working with his wonderful friends, the Rutkowski family. Ed was a long time member of the Kahkwa Club, the Aviation Club and the Erie Club.
Ed loved spending time with his family and friends. Talking and texting with his six grandkids was one of his favorite things to do. He is remembered as the loving husband, best father, caring Pappap and good friend to anyone who met him. He loved playing golf with his friends and wife. Ed had a very strong faith and lived a faith filled life.
Besides his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his sister Norma Jean Bill. Ed is survived by his loving wife DeeDee, his daughters: Kimberly Bolt (Brian) Eaton of Erie, Christine Bolt (Mark) Lashinger of Hilton Head, SC, Amy (Greg) Hartwig of Mequon, WI, Tara Maretis of Jersey City, NJ; six grandchildren: Taylor Eaton, Jack and Matthew Lashinger, Gabriella and Olivia Hartwig and Kleio Maretis and many, many friends.
Friends may call on the family on Tuesday Dec. 14th from 4pm to 7pm at Burton Quinn Scott West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St. (at Powell Ave.) and are invited to the Funeral Mass on Wednesday Dec. 15th at 10:30am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 W. 38th St.
All CDC guidelines will be followed, including wearing masks.
