Edmund L. Stush age 98, of Millcreek, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at UPMC Hamot.
He was born in Plymouth, PA on November 14, 1919 a son of the late John Stush.
After High School, Edmund went on to serve in the United States Airforce and was stationed with a Bombing Squadron as a radar mechanic in Italy.
He worked at General Telephone Company for over 40 years.
Edmund was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
He was an avid fisherman who fished off the piers and ice fished in the bay. He was an excellent bowler playing in many leagues up until the age of 80. He also won many trophies for high games and high series. Edmund enjoyed playing cards with his wife and relatives. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Victoria V. Stush
He is survived by two daughters, Gloria D’Amico of Erie and Mary Beth Marks of OH; two sons, Edmund J. Stush and Michael Stush and his wife Susan both of Fairview; five grandchildren, Colette Stiner of Girard, Shannon Marks of OH, Jacob Stush of Fairview, Amanda Marks of OH, Renee D’Amico of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. John Detisch officiating. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
