Edith C. “Edie” Kinney, age 75, of Albion, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, July 15, 2016 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Platea on January 11, 1941, a daughter of the late Ralph Sr. and Mary Bricker Vorse.
Edith graduated from Northwestern High School. She worked for Lehman Fruit Farm and Sisson Pumpkin Patch. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, going to the casino and baking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Glenn in 2001; three brothers:Ralph, Harold and John Vorse and sister in law, Nancy Vorse.
Edith is survived by her children: Glenn A. Kinney and his wife Nora, Steve Kinney and his wife, Kim, Daniel Kinney and Tammy Dunn and her husband Pat, all of Albion; four sisters: Mary Fitch, Melva Olesnanik and her husband Carl, Eileen Crandal and her husband Jim, and Ann Goodreau and her husband Paul; two brothers, Chuck Vorse and Frank Vorse and his wife Teri. She is further survived by six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. and are invited to attend a service there on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Hope Cemetery.
