Edith Carr

Edith Marie Sunderlin Carr, age 70, passed away on Saturday November 1, 2014 at her residence, following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Butler, PA on April 22, 1944, the daughter of the late Steve and Sara Jane Kowalski.

Edith worked as a registered nurse in Erie for over forty years. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed her pets, flowers and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Chester Calvin Carr.

Edith is survived by her son Brian Carr and her daughter, Wendy Carr; grandsons: Charles Wilson, Terrance Carr and Shannon Gamble; and four great grandchildren: Brayden, Preston, Jullian and Alivia.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Avenue) on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
