Ed Kestel

Ed Kestel, age 79, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.

 Eddie lived life to the fullest, and was known for his courageous spirit.  He was a machinist by trade and enjoyed golfing, fishing, billiards and spending time with friends and family.

 He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Ferra; parents, Edward Kestel and Velma Pero Fuchs; step-mother, Sophie Kestel; brothers Albert, Ernest and Robert; daughter Debra Kestel.  

Ed is survived by five children:  Christine Kuneman (Jeff) of Erie, Robert Ferra of Erie, Ed A. Kestel (Jodi) of Santa Barbara, CA, Bonnie Billig (Steve) of Erie, and Beth Gollogly (Neil) of Ridgefield, CT; ten grandchildren: Mariah, Kylee, Jordan, Sarah, Nicole, Neil, Andrew, Stephen, Kelly (Mark), Jennifer (Sam); and great granddaughters Daphne and Emma. He is also survived by sisters Norma Broderick and Joyce Metzenbacher (Bill).

 Friends may call on Monday, December 3^rd at the Burton Funeral Home, Inc. 602 West 10^th Street, Erie, PA from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.  A private family ceremony will follow at the Gate of Heaven cemetery.
