Ebbo "Skaddy" Skadhauge

November 5, 1915 — March 30, 2012

     Ebbo "Skaddy" Skadhauge, 96, of Erie, died Fri., March 30, 2012 at Sarah Reed Retirement Center.  Formerly of 1377 W. 32nd St.  He was born Nov. 5, 1915, in Erie, son of the late Morton and Pauline Iversen Skadhauge.  A Lifelong resident of Erie, he was a 1935 graduate of Academy High School and owned and operated Skadhauge Service Station, located at 12th & Cranberry Streets, for 20 years retiring in 1963.  Mr. Skadhauge then worked for Daub Security Co. and Doyle Security Co., retiring again in 1992 at the age of 76.  He was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
     He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Shirley A. Sullivan Skadhauge in 1999; two brothers, Arnold & Harold Skadhauge; and an infant sister, Anna. 
     Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Skadhauge and Deborah Shadeck and husband Russell, all of Erie; three sons, Ebbo Skadhauge, Jr., William Skadhauge and wife Darlene and Scott Skadhauge and wife Kimberly, all of Erie; nine grandchildren, Lee Shadeck and wife Heidi, Holly Munson and husband Ryan, Danny Shadeck, Sara Skadhauge and fiancé Jon Larner, Lindsay Skadhauge, and Erik Skadhauge, all of Erie, Ebbo Skadhauge III and wife Amanda of Ocala, FL, Christine Rhodes and husband Doug of Fairview and Michael Riley and wife Terri of Aliquippa, PA;  eleven great-grandchildren, Amelia Skadhauge and Thomas Valez of Ocala, Lillian Larner, Taylor and Cami Munson and Sydney, Aida and Libby Shadeck, all of Erie,  Aubrey and Anthony Riley of Aliquippa and Alyssa Rhodes of Fairview; and several nieces and nephews.
     Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street, Erie, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard A. Moyer, Chaplain of Sarah Reed Retirement Center, officiating.  Private interment will be at Erie Cemetery.
