Earl Boyd

Earl “Bill” Wayne Boyd, age 87, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Elmwood Presbyterian Gardens.

Born in Erie, PA on April 9, 1934 the son of the late Irma Stevens and Earl Boyd.  Bill was a veteran having served in the Army from 1957-1958 and was a member of Summit United Methodist Church.  Bill retired after 35 years from Loblaws, then while retired, he delivered auto parts for NAPA.  He enjoyed bowling and NASCAR.  Along with his wife they enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter months after retirement and made many friendships.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Beverly Jean Boyd, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Boyd, brothers, Robert and Jack Boyd and sisters, Alice Guthrie and Elizabeth Austin.

He is survived by three children, Lori A. McKinley and husband Jeff, Terry W. Boyd and wife Melody, and Wendy Fugate.  He is further survived by his grandchildren, Christina Boyd and Shannon Onderko; a great granddaughter, Isabella Rose Onderko; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10^th Street, and will be held at the convenience of the family.  Private inurnment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
