Douglas Noble

March 28, 1959 — January 3, 2019

Douglas E. Noble, age 59 of Erie, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Painesville, OH on March 28, 1959, a son of the late Dale D. and Mattie J. Edwards Noble.

Douglas attended Community Country Day School and Tech Memorial graduating as part of the Class of 1977. He then proudly served our country in the United States Coast Guard from May 1977 to June 1986. Doug served as a volunteer at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. His favorite sports team was the Dallas Cowboys. He was a longtime member of Shiloh Baptist Church and more recently was active at Friendship Baptist Church.  He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Antoine Hathaway and a niece Robin Renee Smith.

Survivors include his wife Nadine Noble; two daughters: Tia Marie Noble of Erie, and Tameka Andrea Noble of Parkville, MD; grandchildren: Shaie-Jon Noble Crockett, Zi’Yan Noble Crockett, D’Yavion Noble Crockett and Sarai Fayall; seven brothers: Dale Noble, Steve Noble, Paul Noble, Kevin Noble, Michael Noble, Jason Noble and Eugene Noble all of Erie; and four sisters: Gale Smith in VA, Donna Miller in TX, Ethel Noble in Erie and Lucille Pope in VA. Additionally, many, many, nieces, nephews and cousins further survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Thursday January 10th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and are invited to the funeral service on Friday January 11th at 11:00 am at Shiloh Baptist Church, 901 East 5th Street, Erie, PA 16507 with Elder Danny Stanton eulogizing. Burial will follow at Erie Cemetery with full military honors.
