Dorothy Phillips

Dorothy Cohen Phillips, age 68, passed away peacefully in Branford, CT on Thursday, August 29, 2013.

She was born in Erie, PA to the late Philip and Jennie Tave Cohen.

A 1963 graduate of Academy High School, she had a degree in Art from Southern Connecticut State University. She spent most of her adult life in Connecticut where she had numerous friends. She liked animals, swimming, nature conservancy, gardening, and ran a horticultural maintenance business called “Plantasies.”

She is survived by her son, Adam Phillips, of New Haven, CT; a brother, Harvey Cohen and his wife, Arleen of Cleveland, OH; two aunts and many cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 2, 2013, at CBS Cemetery, 4639 West 26th Street, Erie. Rabbi Leonard Lifshen, of the Congregation Brith Sholom, will officiate.
