Dorothy Seib Arneman Peplinski
“Dottie”, “Nanny”, “Ma Pep”
Dorothy passed away at her home on Saturday, March 9, 2024, just three days after celebrating her 87th birthday. Her loving daughters Tammy and Ann were with her.
She was born in Erie, PA on March 6, 1937.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Charles and Rose (Bardt) Seib; a brother, Charles Seib and two sisters, Margaret George and Nancy Evans, as well as her husband of 46 years, Joseph R. Peplinski.
Dottie was a genuine and kindhearted soul. She cherished the endless blessings shared with her family and friends. Many lives were touched with her endearing nature. She will forever be deeply loved, appreciated and admired for her fortitude.
She worked at Glenn Electric Heater for over 30 years as a final inspector.
Dottie took great pride of her home and many collectibles over the years. Everything always had to be in “PERFECT ORDER”! She enjoyed her jewelry, stuffed animals and beautifully coiffed hair styles. Ma Pep LOVED Polka music and dancing. As the old saying goes, she could “cut a rug” with her stamina, proving it proudly until age 83!
Ma Peps chicken noodle soup, macaroni salad and sausage stuffing were outstanding.
Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Tamara Seidler, Karen Arneman and Ann Bridger (Scott); three grandchildren, Chad Seidler of Mesa AZ, Kyle Bridger and Tiffany Arneman; one great granddaughter, who she hoped to meet; her “heartfelt” adopted son, Chris Unger and her devoted tabby, Molly. In addition, her beloved extended family, especially Carol Ingram and many friends who offered endless love and support.
Dottie’s family wishes to convey their sincere appreciation to Aseracare Hospice staff for their dedication during the final season of her life, as well as for her husband, Joseph just five months prior.
Dorothy shared a heartwarming connection with all animals. Her mission has always been to love and support them. May we all contribute to preserving her legacy.
Services were held private at the convenience of the family by the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
