Dorothy Heidelberg

Dorothy Heidelberg, age 62 of Erie, died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at her residence.

She was born in Laurel, Mississippi on December 5, 1952, daughter of Peter and Essie B. Porter Heidelberg.

Dorothy graduated from Technical Memorial High School. She also attended the University of Pittsburgh where she received a full scholarship, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development. She was also a graduate of Carlow College where she studied the Bible.

Dorothy was a customer service representative with U.S. Airways for 35 years.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her daughter Brea Michelle Heidelberg and son-in-law Alexander Clarence Wood, of Philadelphia; three sisters: Regina (Charles) Heidelberg, Jaqueline Fleming, and Debra Heidelberg; one brother, Willie Heidelberg; her God son Mark Odom, best friend Kim Garner of Pittsburgh, PA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Friends may call at the Mt. Ebal Baptist Church, 1617 East 26th St. on Friday from 10 am until the time of service at 12 noon with Rev. Charles Heidelberg officiating.

Burial in Erie Cemetery.
