Dorothy Mae Bell Craft age 82, of Wattsburg, Pa.and formerly of Harborcreek, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Erie, Pa. on November 30, 1930 a daughter of the late Howard and Victoria Prczekopowski Bell.
After graduating from East High school in 1948, she married her husband the late Evert Craft in 1959. Dorothy worked for more than 30 years at the Erie General Electric Plant.
Throughout life and especially in later years, she enjoyed bowling and was an original member of the Wesleyville Women's Bowling League. In the 1950's Dorothy was a driver in the Women's Stockcar Races at the Erie Veteran's Stadium. She also ran a ceramics shop in Lawrence Park and was a bus aid on the special needs bus for Laidlaw Transit. Along with her family, she enjoyed camping and the great outdoors and loved her horses as well as reading.
In addition to her parents and husband Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers; Louis, John and James Bell and a son in law, Stephen Hartman.
She is survived by two daughters both of Wattsburg; Bonnie Parker (Daniel Jennings) and Victoria Hartman. She also leaves two stepdaughters; Elaina and Joyce as well as a granddaughter, Jamie Craft of Derby, NY and grandson; Christopher Parker of Wattsburg and great grandson Aaron Minns of Harborcreek along with one step grandchild, three step great grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who also remain.
Services were private and under the care of Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, Pa. 16502.
