Doris Ruth (Stainbrook) Bradshaw, 95, of Erie, PA, passed away June 1,2021, after a brief illness. She was born near Saegertown, PA, on February 14, 1926, a daughter of the late Alva D. and Ruth (Ellis) Stainbrook. Doris graduated from Saegertown Highschool and continued her education at Erie Business School in Meadville, PA. She was employed as a secretary to the CFO of American Viscos in Meadville throughout WWII.

A consummate homemaker, mother, and caretaker, Doris was an exceptional baker and always demonstrated hospitality to everyone in her home. As an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, for many decades, she cared for the congregation and community in many capacities, both in leadership and service. She was generous with her time, talents, and affection, quietly providing for the needs of those around her without attention or praise. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years; a daughter, Darla Salmon of Orlando, FL; a brother, Wayne Stainbrook of Meadville; and a sister Wilma Estes of Benton Harbor, MI.

She is survived by a son, Mark Bradshaw and his wife Cindy of Dublin OH; a daughter, Cheryl Suhari and her husband Eddy, of Laurel MD, a son-in-law, Rev. Dr. Dennis Salmon and his wife Beverly of Ocoee, FL; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Bradshaw and Jesse Stainbrook, of Meadville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private burial service was held at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Friday, June 4th 2021. A memorial service for friends and family honoring her life is scheduled for July 24th, 2021 at Asbury United Methodist Church. The Family would like to thank those servicing at UPMC Hamot, Wesbury Nursing Facility, and Hospice of Crawford County for their superb and compassionate care along with wonderful support group of friends, neighbors and church members.
