Donnie D. Dixon

Donnie D. Dixon, age 78, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9^th, 2023 with family by his side.

He was born January 5, 1945 in Curwensville, PA, a son of the late Ardell and Elizabeth (Rice) Dixon.

Donnie enjoyed attending a variety of garage sales, camping, working, and spending time with his family, especially his dogs. He truly loved making people laugh, and the smile that came with.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Judy L. (Pugh) Dixon; two daughters, Patricia Edminister and Marlene Dean; a sister, Bonnie Zortman; two brothers, Charles and Arthur Dixon; a grand-daughter, Katlyn Dixon; Daughter-in-law, Wendy Dixon; as well as his beloved fur babies, Ginger and Gabby.

Donnie is survived by two daughters, Terri Ross and her husband David, Lucinda Becker and her husband Peter; two sons, Robert Dixon and his wife Cindy, and Donnie Dixon; two son-in-laws, Ralph Edminister and Deitrich Dean. He is further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Manor and the staff of the 7^th floor at Hamot Hospital for their care during his time at each facility. Friends and family are invited to call at the Burton Quinn-Scott, West Ridge, 3801 West 26^th St., Erie, on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 5 pm until 7. And are invited to attend a memorial service at the Laurel Highlands Church of Christ, 221 Dunmyer Rd., Stoystown, PA 15563 on Saturday, August 19 at 3 pm. Burial will be private at Somerset County Memorial Park.
