Donna Summerville

Donna Louise Thornton-Summerville, age 72, of Erie, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at St. Mary’s Asbury Ridge.

She was born in Fairview, PA on September 27, 1941, the daughter of the late Spencer and Vera Thorton.

Donna was a country girl who loved painting, drawing, gardening and cooking. She was a proud mom, who loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart.

She is survived by sons: Alan Summerville and his fiancé, Andrea, and James R. Summerville, daughters Christine and Connie; a brother, Spencer Thorton and a sister, Geraldine Coy. Donna is further survived by grandchildren Michael Sabol and Leahanna Palmer and great grandchildren: Ayahanna, Amaya, Layla, and Zaden. Other grandchildren include Matthew LaPerriere whom she loved dearly, Heather, Nicholas, Jamie, Nicole, Trevor and Emma. She was blessed by her friendship with Marlene and Darleen.
