Donna Penner

Donna Rae Penner, 90, formerly of Lake Placid, New York, and Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away August 26, 2022, in Greer, South Carolina.

A native of Manchester, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Sarah Frazier Farrand.

Possessing an active and independent spirit, she cherished the outdoors, enjoying many hours exploring Presque Isle State Park and Lake Placid.

Donna delighted in dining and conversation with friends or family at Erie restaurants, readily sharing her opinions with all. She had a special affection for confectionaries from local chocolatiers.

Donna will be fondly remembered for the steadfast love shown to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, David Maitlen (Katherine) of Greer, one daughter, Dawn Maitlen of Erie, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Brian D. Lance (Chiná) of Nunda, New York, Aaron G. Lance (Ashley) of Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania, Hilary Delgado (Jonathan) of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Brandon Maitlen, and three great-grandchildren, Carter Lance, Ruby Lance, and Darrow D. Delgado.

She was predeceased by one daughter, Darlene Lance.

The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers from Kindred Hospice of Greenville, SC.
