Donn Peterson

Donn Eric “Pete” Peterson age 62, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at home surrounded by his family following a brief illness.

He was born in Erie on January 12, 1953, a son of the late Robert and Betty Kraschneske Peterson.

Donn graduated from Tech Memorial High School.

He worked as a car salesman for many dealers in the Erie area.

Donn was a very upbeat and optimistic person with a great sense of humor. He would light up a room when he walked in and was the life of the party always having a good story to tell. He loved to play pool and go boating. He was an excellent carpenter known for his picnic tables, benches and wishing wells. His favorite TV show was Jeopardy.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Peterson; three children, Christian Peterson (Melissa Patterson), Jessica Rose Peterson (Scott Moneta), and Dana Peterson; his first wife and the mother of his children, Sandy Seaton; four grandchildren, Derek, Emma, Cassandra, and Parker; a brother Robert Peterson and his wife Julie, two sisters Susan Weber and her husband Mike and Betsy Reagle and her husband Josiah; a step son, Paul Righi; and his best friend, Denny Carne. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by his five cats, who were his constant companions.

Donn’s family would like to thank the Asera Care Hospice Team especially Ray, for the care and compassion shown during his illness.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a brief prayer service at 8:00 p.m.
