Donald Wickwire

Donald L. Wickwire, age 73, of Cranesville, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at LECOM Senior Living Center.

Don was born in Meadville, PA on October 10, 1948, a son of the late Harold L. Wickwire and Arlene Hanks Prest. 

He was a 1966 graduate of Northwestern High School then served in the U.S. Army, receiving a Purple Heart in Vietnam.  He worked for the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad for 12 years and at RAS Auto Body as a detailer for 13 years. 

Don was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Albion and enjoyed spending time with his family. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step father, Frank Prest, his brothers, Fred Wickwire, Tom Wickwire and Ken Wickwire and an infant daughter, Ann. 

He is survived by his wife Judith Duda Wickwire, whom he married on June 29, 1974; two children, Marcia Kubiak and husband Mark of Painsville, OH and Gary L. Wickwire, and wife Karin of Fairview, PA; grandchildren, Claire and Evan Kubiak; a sister, Sarah Wittman, of Buffalo, NY. And several nieces and nephews. 

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Monday, July 18^th from 4pm until the time of a prayer service at 6pm.
