Donald Roach, Jr.

Donald “Donnie” E. Roach, Jr, 52 of Erie, passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at St. Vincent hospital.

Don was born on March 12, 1964 in Erie, a son of the late Donald Sr. and Elaine (Lamb) Roach.

He attended Our Lady of Peace and McDowell High School.

Don delivered furniture for Kaufman’s Department Store for over twenty years. He attended Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Don was a loving caretaker for his mother. He was an Oakland Raiders fan. He also enjoyed playing his guitar, shooting pool with his friends, and playing video games with his son. Don also enjoyed family picnics.

In addition to his father, Don is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Kim Hartman.

He is survived by his loving mother; his two children, Aubrey Roach and Nick Roach of North East; one brother, Allan (Gloria) Roach of Girard; three sisters: Debby (Al) Yacobozzi of Millcreek, Becky (Doug) Miller of Millcreek, and Carrie (Scott) Wilson of Lake City; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. He is also survived by Kim’s children, including Sara Hartman and her fiancé Joe Steele, with whom Aubrey and Nick reside.

Family and friends may call at Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) Erie, PA Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and are invited to attend services there Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend John Dyke officiating.
