Donald Scott Nordin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Scott Nordin, 62 years old, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. He was born in Erie, PA on December 19, 1962, the son of Judith (Reisenauer) Nordin and the late Donald L. Nordin.

Donald graduated from McDowell High School in 1981. He was a voracious reader, had an incredible memory and could name any geographic landmark or location in the world. He continued to read National Geographic and Smithsonian magazines and the Bible up until his death. Donald took an interest in natural remedies for his health and enjoyed cooking shows. He loved animals and was particularly skilled at caring for birds. He played piano and treasured time with his family. Along with his father, Donald will join his grandmother Mary, who was his rock, in heaven.

He is survived by his loving mother, Judith Nordin, along with three siblings, Janice Nordin of Aberdeen, MD; James Nordin (Annette Lucas) of Pittsburgh, PA; and Jennifer Ng (Dr. Brian Ng) of Erie, PA; nieces and nephews, Kathryn and Victoria Rambo, Jonah and Bradley Ng, and Ella Nordin.

Friends are invited to call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Inc, West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St. on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 12 noon until 2:00 pm at which time Funeral Services will be held. Burial will be in Laurel Hill cemetery.
