Donald Knight

Donald E. Knight, age 49 of Erie, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital from a heart attack.

Don was born in Olean, NY on January 29, 1965. He was the son of Eugene P. and Donna Knight, of Franklinville, NY.

He graduated from Cuba Central High School. Don was a partner with Holland Flooring for over 15 years and was also employed by Accuride for the last 5 years. He was a member of the Walnut Creek Gun Club, and enjoyed hunting, guns, motorcycles, and working on his trucks. Don was everyone’s dependable “rock” and like a brother to many. He had the knack to fix or “rig” almost anything. Don loved spending time with his family and kids. He also enjoyed spending time with his girl “friends”, Mary and Michele.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Beth and their children, Aaron and Emma; grandmother Ethel Knight of Delevan, NY and his three brothers Keven, Larry (Belinda), and Ronald, all of Franklinville, NY.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road Erie, PA 16510 on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Burton Wintergreen All Faith’s Chapel with Fr. J. Thomas Dugan presiding. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
