Donald R. Hullenbaugh, 57, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Donald is finally at peace in the arms of Jesus after a long struggle with an alcohol addiction.
He was born in Erie on October 28, 1964, son of the late Judy Griffin Hullenbaugh and the late Robert Hullenbaugh. He is survived by his mother, Mary Johnston Hullenbaugh; his wife of 25 years, Ann-Marie O’Connell Hullenbaugh; his two children, Justin Hullenbaugh (Gretchen) and Melissa Hullenbaugh; his aunts, Phyllis Kokoros, Patricia Ostrowski, and Kay Allan; his cousins, nephew, in-laws, and many extended family members.
Donald graduated from McDowell High School, received his bachelor’s degree from Grove City College, and received his Master’s degree from Moravian Theological Seminary.
Throughout his life, he found purpose in preaching the word of God and helping people with recovery. He held various pastoral roles, including Senior Pastor at Table of Grace Church where he started an addiction recovery program. He was a very kind and generous man who found fulfillment in ministering to others.
Donald was a 4th-degree Master Black Belt in Taekwondo under Grandmaster Park. He shared his talents by teaching martial arts through Urban University at the Erie City Mission. He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. Most of all, Donald loved spending time with his family, remembering especially the month-long RV trip around the country.
Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 3801 W. 26th Street on Thursday, November 11th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. They are also invited to attend a service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12th, at Table of Grace Church 2113 Sassafras Street, Erie, PA 16502.
Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Urban University program at the Erie City Mission, PO Box 407, Erie, PA 16512.
