Donald Crannell, Jr.

Donald E. Crannell, Jr. age 71, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Erie, PA on March 19, 1949, a son of the late Donald Crannell, Sr. and Grace Pianta Crannell.

Donald was a 1967 graduate of Iroquois High School. He retired from Erie Coke in 2011 after 15 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Kilbane.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Horvath Crannell, two daughters, Shannon (Matthew) Patridge of North Tonawanda, New York and Season (Christopher Dye) Crannell, of Erie, a grandson, John C. Dye of Erie and four sisters, Trudy Corey and Patty Nolan, both of Erie, Margaret Hemme of Tennessee, and Alma Creese of Erie.

Services were private and held at the convenience of the family.
