Donald Bernell Jones

Donald Bernell Jones, age 91 of Albion, passed away on November 10, 2023 at his residence. 

He was born in Cranesville, PA on September 14, 1932 a son of the late James & Sylvia Taylor Jones.

He was a graduate of Albion High School and went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Bernell was employed at Marx Toys.  He was retired from Copes Vulcan after 20 years of employment.

He was a private man but enjoyed helping others. Bernell loved his family, nature, and animals. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He was talented at wood working.

 He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta Ward Jones; a grandson Jason Paul McLaren; five brothers: LeRoy, James Clyde Jr., Harold, Arnold, and Edward Jones; five sisters: Ruth Campbell, Gladys Sherman, Irene Bennett, Lucille Johnson, and Bonnie Jones.

Bernell is survived by his two daughters Linda K. McLaren (Mark) from Meadville, PA and Donna L. Payne (Greg) of Springboro, PA; three grandchildren Jessica Snyder (Marc); Scott Parker (Garima); and Justin McLaren (Ashley); five great grandchildren Cali, Caydence, Isaiah, Piper and Carter; one sister Elsie Callahan; a sister-in-law Charlene Jones and many nieces and nephews.
