Dona Gourley Whitehill

Dona J. Gourley Whitehill age 92, of Fairview, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Manchester Commons.

She was born in Spring Church, PA on November 20, 1928 a daughter of the late William Blair and Jennie Belle Miller Rupert.

Dona was a graduate of Elders Ridge High School in Indiana, PA.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Dona enjoyed cooking and especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale C. Gourley in 1981, her second husband, John A. Whitehill, Jr. in 2004; a daughter, Connie Dunlavey and a half-brother, Dean Blair.

She is survived by a son, Keith C. Gourley and his wife Kathleen of Fairview; three step sons, John A. Whitehill III of Clifton Park, NY, James A. Whitehill and his wife Patricia of Erie and Joseph A. Whitehill and his wife Janet of Orefield, PA; two step daughters, Maria Parisi and her husband Robert of Fairview and Mari Beth Whitehill of Erie; a half-brother, Phillip Louden Rupert and his wife Marilyn of Apollo, PA; and a son in law, John Dunlavey of Whitman Lake, MI. She is further survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Westminster Presbyterian Church 3642 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506 on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until a celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Manchester Commons 6351 W. Lake Rd, Erie, PA 16505 or to a charity of one’s choice.
