Dolores Ropelewski

     Dolores J. "Dodie" Wagner Ropelewski, age 86, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Pleasant Ridge Manor East. 
     She was born in Erie on April 29,1928, a daughter of the late Phillip and Elsie Ludolph Wagner. 
     Dolores was a graduate of Academy High School, class of 1946, and the Erie Business Center. 
     She was a secretary at Hayes Manufacturing for 17 years, retiring in 1964, a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 60 year member of their choir and active volunteer in the church’s archive room.  Dolores enjoyed bowling, antiques, collectibles, and her pet cats.
     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather, John Lindey. 
     She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Norbert Ropelewski, a daughter, Kristen A. Atkinson and her husband Mark of Erie, a son, David F. Ropelewski and his wife Karla of Palatine, Illinois, granddaughter Anna, and grandson Eric Ropelewski of Palatine, Illinois, and also several nieces and nephews.
     Friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street, on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and are invited to funeral services at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 2216 Peach, Erie, Pa., Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.  The Rev. Roy P. Washill will officiate.  Burial will be in Erie Cemtery.
