Dolly Ollie

Dolly M. Rogers Ollie age 58 of Erie, went to glory on Monday, December 5, 2016.

She was born in New Castle, PA on June 20, 1958 the beloved daughter of the late Leroy and Viola Miles Rogers.

Dolly was a graduate of Academy High School and worked for many years in home health care. She had a very strong passion for helping others, and serving the Lord in and out of church. Dolly was very dedicated to the church where she was a longstanding member of the True Church of Lord Jesus Christ.

She enjoyed singing and performing liturgy at the church.

In addition to her parents Dolly was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy, Jessie, Danny, Tom, and Tim, and her nephew Jason.

Dolly is survived by one brother, Leon Rogers of North Carolina; five sisters, Dorothy Rogers, Viola Rogers (Danny Nicholson), Emma Connor (Arthur), Juanita Ward (Charles), Philomena Rogers, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, Goddaughter Lois Woodard, Godparents Bishop John Payton and Marie Pipkens Payton.

Special thanks to all the hospital staff at St. Vincent, and to Dolly’s healthcare workers Sandra Stapp, Patricia Newby and Roman Carl Woodard. Dolly will be dearly missed by her heartbroken family and friends.

Family and friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502 on Monday from 10:00 am till the time of services there at 12:00 noon with Evangelist Marie Pipkens Payton officiating.
