Dianne Doris Morehouse Thompson, age 69, of Erie, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital.
She was born in Erie on October 25, 1944 a daughter of the late Theodore Morehouse and Virginia Schenker.
Dianne graduated from Girard high School. She then went on to work at OEM as a Quality Control Manager for many years until her retirement in 2007, where she was respected and appreciated by all who had the opportunity to work with her.
She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church, past District President of the American Legion and a member of the VFW post #470.
Dianne and her husband enjoyed traveling, going out to eat with many groups of friends regularly and especially spending time with their family.
Dianne lived every day to the fullest and her devotion and humor will be truly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Dennis Morehouse and a nephew T.J. Morehouse.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, John Thompson; two step-sons, Robert Thompson and Bruce (Melinda) Thompson; two brothers, James (Val) Morehouse and Marc (Karen) Schenker; two grandsons, Jeremy (Amy) Thompson and Brandon (Kristen) Thompson; 5 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service there at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 1:30p.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church 2401 W. 38th Street Erie, Pa 16506 with Rev. Ted Marconi Celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
