Death may arrive far too early, but it is never late, welcoming Dianne with gentle grace and compassion on 08/17/16.
Pennsylvania, "State of Independence" personifies Dianne's perpetual state. Born and raised in Erie, to the late Dr. and Mrs. H.C. Amacher, with a BA earned at Penn State and an MA in English and Journalism from Edinboro University. Roots and Canadian pride magnetically drew her to Toronto where she began a career in publishing and graphic design.
Upon her return to Erie, Dianne helped care for her parents and more recently has served in marketing and development at Proud Land Kennels.
Dianne loved words and animals, great and small in that order. With a generous spirit her diverse thinking promoted curiosity about everything and she did not tolerate fools or injustice in any arena.
A life well lived will enrich those around them and she enriched her sister Katherine Korff (David), nephew Christopher Korff (Michele), niece Kirsten Korff Tracy (Brian), great nephews Tyler Korff and Liam Tracy and great niece Laura Korff.
Family shares blood, friends share soul and we rejoice in the rich friendship of Carrie and Ken Behnke, Cherilyn Carr and her father's loving medical partner, Dr. A.T. Roos.
The family extends extraordinary gratitude to the Pulmonary Doctors and Staff at St. Vincent Hospital for allowing our wishes to move forward.
Arrangements were provided by Burton Funeral Home 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502 with Interment in The Cathedral of St. Paul at a later date.
In a Living Memorial for Dianne and those you Love: Don't Smoke, Do Spay or Neuter your pets, Don't wait for the storm to pass, learn to dance in the rain.
Safe Travel, Tiger Lily.
