April 10, 1952 — September 27, 2015

Diane Marie (Pifer) Wright, 63, of Fairview, PA., passed into eternal life on September 27, 2015, at home surrounded by her family and friends. She passed away after a long battle with cancer, including two bouts of breast cancer followed by 8½ years of ovarian cancer.

She was born on April 10, 1952, in Erie Pa., to Monty and Rosemary Pifer.

After graduating from McDowell High School in 1971, Diane received her Associates degree at Gannon University /Hamot Medical Center Erie PA.

Diane was a Radiology Technician for Orthopedic Surgeons, Elk Valley Medical Center, Metro Health Center, and Millcreek Community Hospital. She worked at Prompt Care/Priority Care as a Radiology Technician and Lab Coordinator from 1991 to 2007 when she retired.

Diane’s courage was an inspiration to all of her family, her circle of lifelong friends and every new friend she met along her journey. She was remarkable in the way she showed us all how to be courageous, humorous, giving, and keeping a positive attitude. She never let up and loved to decorate her home, garden, and play with her dog Max. She was a tornado with lipstick.

Diane was preceded in death by a nephew Tyler Rowland.

Diane is survived by her parents Monty and Rose Pifer; her husband of 22 years, David Wright of Fairview; two sons, Don Wilson of Erie and Matthew Wilson of Erie; a brother, Monty A.
