Diane Ratcliff

Diane A. Lyons Ratcliff, 53, of Akron, OH, formally of Erie, PA, transitioned from labor to reward, January 13, 2019 at the Summa Health System of Barberton, Ohio.

She was born in Erie, PA, May 5, 1965, daughter of Emma Jean Lyons Gray and the late Robert D. Lyons and former wife of Rodney Ratcliff.

Diane was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Reverend Willie Sanders, and a graduate of Academy High School in Erie, and worked as a Nurse Aid for many years.

Diane was a loving and independent mother. She loved living in Akron, going to the parks, taking road trips and adored shopping.

In addition to her father, Diane is preceded in death by her sister, Brenda J. Baldwin, paternal grandparents, Ora D. and Lillie Lyons, her maternal grandparents, Aster and Maddie Graves, step grandmother, Tamma Graves and step father, Bobby James Gray.

In addition to her mother and former husband, Diane is survived by her five children, Jevon (Alexis), Tyrone, Kevin, Jeremy, and Desiree, eleven grandchildren, one brother, Robert Lyons, Jr., three sisters, Gwendolyn Ratcliff (Roger), Gloria Cooley (Lorne) and Renaie Battles (Arthur), her cousin sisters, Yvonne Lyons (Gary) and Patty Lomax, stepbrothers, Bobby Gray (Katina), Tony Gray (Nina), Adonis Gray (Ann), step sisters, Jackie Keys (John), Renee Neeley (Tommie) and Lola Faye Vaughn (Jerry). Further surviving is her good friend, Ernie Blakney.

Friends are invited to call on the family on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon at Abundant Life of Erie, 2247 East 19^th St., Erie, Pa. 16510, Apostle Kevin Nelson, Senior Pastor, with Rev. Willie Sanders of Hopewell Baptist Church, officiating.  Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 W. 10^th St., Erie.
