Diane Knapp

Diane Marie Weber Knapp, age 67, of Erie, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital.

She was born in Erie on November 9, 1948, a daughter of the late John A. and Betti Bootes Weber.

Diane attended Harborcreek High School before helping care for her family. She was a good mother, hard worker and a great cook. She worked in housekeeping at the Presbyterian Lodge. Upon retirement, she was a waitress at Hamburger Heaven for fun. She was a member of the Knights of St. George Auxiliary, a social member of the V.F.W. and frequented the Star Club and the Lithuanian Club where she enjoyed bowling. You could find her either fishing or crocheting in her spare time and playing cards with her best friend. Diane loved spending time with her dog Spike.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Loretta Smith and her brother Fred Weber.

Diane is survived by her husband Duane E. Colvin; her three children: Dale I. Knapp (Julie M. Craciun), Douglas M. Knapp and Corina M. Martinson (Matthew); and eight grandchildren, Cynthia Beebe, Kayla Kindle, Zachary Martinson, Jacob Martinson, Lindsey Knapp, Dylan Knapp, Richard Craciun and Danielle Osmak. She is further survived by her siblings: Norma Barthelson (Glenn), John and Leroy Weber; several nieces and nephews; as well as her lifelong best friend, Nancy Barnhart

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Thursday at 11 a.m. Send condolences at www.Burtonfuneralhome.com.
