On April 3rd, 2024, the world said goodbye to a beautiful soul. Diane C. Jackson (Mancuso), 67, gone too soon, will be cherished by the many that loved her so. Diane was born on May 21st, 1956 in Erie. A wife and a mother, an aunt and a sister, Diane meant the world to her family. Her wish of being a grandmother finally came true, and never was she happier than when she was holding her granddaughter close. She loved to babysit and spend time with her children. Diane loved learning about animals. She shared a love for birds with her father Joseph, who impacted her appreciation for nature. She enjoyed finding humor wherever she could and was always true to herself and others. Diane loved to learn, always looking for something new to discover, and she shared this love for knowledge with her children. She was hardworking and dedicated, always going above and beyond to help others.
Diane would want everyone to know that she is not truly gone from this world, but is around us everywhere we go. She is in the warm summer breeze, the sweet songbirds call, the quiet rain; living more alive than ever in the hearts of all. She will be missed beyond what any words can describe, however she would want everyone to find comfort in knowing she is always still will us. To quote one of her favorite poems, “It is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.”
Diane leaves behind her husband and friend Steven Jackson, her two children Daniel Jackson and Allison Tant & Ryan Tant, her beloved granddaughter Amelia, her brother Larry Mancuso & Lynea, her sister Susan Reardon (Mancuso) & John Reardon. She also had many other family members that she loved and cared for. Diane also leaves behind pets that will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her brother Dennis Mancuso, her father Joseph Mancuso, and her mother Alice Bailey.
She would tell everyone, it’s not goodbye, but rather see you later. She will be watching over those she loves, and living on through those that knew her best.
Services will be private, and a Celebration of Life will be at the family’s convenience. Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th Street, Erie.
